My senior graphic design thesis. “Maximalism is the inverse of mass produced, soulless marketing—a bombardment of advertisements, information, and entertainment, in their most digestible form—and therefore an argument against it in itself.”
This project started with the creation of fabric watch, an experiment
representative of our current consumerist culture than an utterly useless knick knack that serves no purpose other than to be bought and owned. From there, it evolved into Maximalista as a “brand” with its own identity, advertisements, and packaging, all satirizing late stage Capitalism. The work consists of six fabric watches, a watchbox, postcards, an animation, my thesis book, two poster series, risograph money, and stickers.
